Basketball Blunders Part 1

This is something I see often, so I thought I'd make a comic about it. How it usually goes is that a bunch of brothers come together to play sports and have fun. What ends up happening is that it becomes a battle of egos where few feel good by the time the game is over.

There are a few characters that you consistently see in this situation. Most notably,
you have the ball hog (5 people guarding you, while the rest of your team is open? Who cares?! Shoot the J!) and the guy who isn't so good and never gets passed to, so he only plays defense (aka if you do get the ball, ball hog tells you to pass it to him).

You also have those people who miss the point of the game. There's nothing wrong with being competitive, but when it causes you to lose your temper, insult your friends, or take things personally, it's a bit problematic.

So ask yourself, what is your intention when you play a game. Is it to put others down, or is it to have fun and strengthen friendship? If you're the ball hog, try passing it to the guy who never gets to take a shot. Isn't making your friend happy more valuable than one or two points that you'll forget about the next day?

I know I'm saying brotherhood, because that's my experience, but same goes for sisters... in whatever it is sisters do for fun.

Remember, The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
"Don't nurse grudge and don't bid him out for raising the price and don't nurse aversion or enmity and don't enter into a transaction when the others have entered into that transaction and be as
fellow-brothers and servants of Allah.
A Muslim is the brother of a Muslim. He neither oppresses him nor humiliates him nor looks down upon him. The piety is here, (and while saying so) he pointed towards his chest thrice. It is a serious evil for a Muslim that he should look down upon his brother Muslim. All things of a Muslim are inviolable for his brother in faith; his blood, his wealth and his honor."
